Complete Blood Count (CBC)
A complete blood count is a blood test used to evaluate your overall health and detect a wide range of disorders, including anemia, infection, and leukemia.
Parameters Measured:
- Red Blood Cell (RBC) count
- White Blood Cell (WBC) count
- Hemoglobin (Hb)
- Hematocrit (Hct)
- Platelet count
- Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV)
- Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin (MCH)
- Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC)
- Red Cell Distribution Width (RDW)
Sample Type: Whole Blood
Turnaround Time: Same Day
Fasting Required: No
Lipid Profile
A lipid profile is a blood test that measures lipids—fats and fatty substances used as a source of energy by your body. This test is used to assess your risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Parameters Measured:
- Total Cholesterol
- High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) - "Good" Cholesterol
- Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) - "Bad" Cholesterol
- Very Low-Density Lipoprotein (VLDL)
- Triglycerides
- Total Cholesterol/HDL Ratio
Sample Type: Serum
Turnaround Time: Same Day
Fasting Required: Yes (9-12 hours)
Liver Function Tests (LFT)
Liver function tests are blood tests that measure various enzymes, proteins, and substances in the blood to evaluate how well your liver is working.
Parameters Measured:
- Alanine Transaminase (ALT)
- Aspartate Transaminase (AST)
- Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP)
- Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT)
- Total Bilirubin
- Direct Bilirubin
- Indirect Bilirubin
- Total Protein
- Albumin
- Globulin
- Albumin/Globulin Ratio
Sample Type: Serum
Turnaround Time: Same Day
Fasting Required: Yes (8 hours)
Kidney Function Tests (KFT)
Kidney function tests are blood and urine tests that evaluate how well your kidneys are functioning by measuring the levels of waste products in your blood.
Parameters Measured:
- Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN)
- Creatinine
- BUN/Creatinine Ratio
- Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR)
- Uric Acid
- Electrolytes (Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, Bicarbonate)
Sample Type: Serum
Turnaround Time: Same Day
Fasting Required: Yes (8 hours)
Blood Glucose Tests
Blood glucose tests measure the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. These tests are used to diagnose diabetes, monitor blood sugar levels, and evaluate how well diabetes is being managed.
Types of Tests:
- Fasting Blood Glucose (FBG)
- Random Blood Glucose
- Postprandial Blood Glucose
- Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT)
- Glycated Hemoglobin (HbA1c)
Sample Type: Whole Blood/Serum
Turnaround Time: Same Day (HbA1c: 1 day)
Fasting Required: Yes for FBG and OGTT
Electrolytes
Electrolyte tests measure the levels of electrolytes in your blood. Electrolytes are minerals that carry an electric charge and are essential for maintaining many bodily functions.
Parameters Measured:
- Sodium (Na+)
- Potassium (K+)
- Chloride (Cl-)
